Shine in Motion: Celebrating Terry Fox’s Legacy
What happens when you bring our PASS Vancouver and PASS Burnaby programs together for a day of movement, laughter, games, and a little friendly competition? You get our very first Shine in Motion Day! 💖
On September the 16th, we all headed to Swangard Stadium for a day designed to get everyone moving.
The day kicked off with our 400-metre race, with everyone taking to the track at the same time. Whether we were running, jogging, or simply making our way to the finish line, the focus was on participating, having fun, and celebrating movement.
After the race, everyone had the chance to take part in a variety of fun activities and games. There were relay races, movement activities, snazzy photo booth and a Terry Fox-inspired scavenger hunt.
And then came the medal ceremony! 🏅 We celebrated everyone who took part in the 400-metre race and recognized the effort, energy, and enthusiasm that made the day so special.
Families were invited to join us too, and we were so happy to see some of them stick around after the activities for pizza, drinks, and snacks.
What made the day especially meaningful was that it wasn't just about running or winning a race. It was about movement, community, friendship, and connection. It was about trying something new, cheering someone else on, laughing together, and being part of something bigger. 💕
Here’s to the first of many Shine in Motion Days!
