Alison

This is the Alison’s and Pet’s World

Alison is an enthusiastic and energetic employee, whose presence in a workroom brings the energy that uplifts everyone around. Eager to work, she checks in daily to see if there's any task she can take on. And when there isn't, Alison takes initiative into her own hands. It was her passion for work and her love for animals that inspired the creation of a new product: PASS Dog Treats. Alison not only bakes, packages, and promotes these treats herself but also lends her artistic touch to the product labels with her collage art.

But Alison's dedication doesn't stop there. She currently works through the PASS Employment Program as a dog walker, where her affection for our furry friends reaches its peak.

    Hobbies

Alison is a huge fan of the Canucks, wearing their jersey and hat almost daily; she brings the sporty spirit to PASS. But what she loves most are animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses. She loves being around them and enjoys everything about them, from stickers to coloring books and prints.
But Alison's interests don't end there. She loves gardening, practicing sports, and she also enjoys baking, especially when she can bake treats for her furry friends.

  • Social Enterprise

Alison is an incredibly enthusiastic member of the PASS Marketplace team. She diligently checks daily for any tasks she can assist with and is always eager to jump into action. She finds joy in various tasks such as disassembly job she performs for SWISSBO, but her favorite event is the yearly winter Bake Sale, as well as baking the dog treats. It was Alison who suggested introducing the dog treats to our offerings, and her collage creation is proudly featured on the treats' label.

  • Employment Program

Alison has landed two jobs through the PASS Employment Program. As our most enthusiastic dog walker, she ensures the wellbeing of some of PASS's furry neighbors, ensuring they get enough exercise for a healthy and happy life.

Additionally, she volunteers at Book'mark, the store at the Central Branch of VPL.
Alison assists with the curbside sale of used books and helps stock, sort, and display them.

Know your passion, live it.

In 2024, Alison took part in a special art project for the Annual Imagine Gala fundraiser.

Six PASS members were chosen to paint their self-portraits on the walls of a wooden chest. While the other contributors created unique and charming portraits, it was the Alison's art that stood out, as she painted herself wearing a Canucks jersey and added the words "Vancouver Canucks" above her head.

Here’s for the true fan! “Go Canucks, Go!”
