Meet Our Job Coaches.
At PASS, we believe that meaningful employment is about more than having a job, it’s an opportunity to build skills, confidence, independence, and connections within the community. Our employment program gives members the opportunity to gain real-world work experience with support tailored to their individual goals.
Behind many of these successful work experiences are our dedicated Job Coaches!
Job Coaches are trained professionals who accompany PASS program members to their work placements. They provide support while helping members navigate the many different parts of having a job, from getting to work on time to learning workplace routines and interacting professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
More Than Just Workplace Support
A Job Coach’s role can look different for every member and every placement. Some members may need support learning a new task or following a workplace routine, while others may benefit from help navigating public transit or understanding workplace expectations.
Our Job Coaches are there to meet members where they are and provide the right level of support. The goal is always to encourage growth and independence while making the work experience positive and enjoyable.
When a placement involves food, our Job Coaches are also trained in FoodSafe, helping ensure members receive knowledgeable support while working safely in food-service environments.
Sometimes, being a Job Coach means stepping in with guidance. Other times, it means taking a step back and giving a member the space to try something independently. And sometimes, it simply means being the person in their corner, cheering them on, celebrating their successes, and reminding them that they can do it!
