Philippine Independence Day at PASS

What a fantastic day we had at PASS Vancouver as we came together to celebrate Philippine Independence Day!

Our members had so much fun preparing delicious traditional Filipino dishes, including the ever-popular kamote cue (caramelized sweet potato skewers).

We also got creative with activities like making and coloring Filipino flags, crafting, and playing games that were not only fun but also educational!

The day ended with a picnic in the park, and boy-oh-boy, was it a blast! We enjoyed sweet treats like banana con yelo, sago’t gulaman, cassava cake, and the crowd favorite: ube ice cream! 🍠🍦

The highlight of the picnic? If you checked out the photos above, you sure guessed it — the piñata! So much fun and excitement all around.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff who helped make this day so special: Catherine, Jaycee, Aileen, Kathryne, and the entire team who supported them in the celebrations

We loved celebrating the richness of Filipino traditions, learning more about the culture, and even picking up some of the language along the way.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! 💥
