“A little bit of LOVE, goes a long way”

We are proud to share the incredible work of our PASS volunteer team at the Family-Friendly PRIDE Celebration, hosted by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House. As the volunteers entrusted with setting up the entire event, our team showed ready to take on the full responsibility, and we sure delivered! with heart, creativity, and teamwork.

From unloading tables and chairs to decorating the venue and preparing craft, games, and music-circle stations, we didn’t shy away from any task!

Throughout the day, we led a variety of engaging activities: giant Jenga, dominoes, bowling, chalk art, button-making, bracelet-making, and more.

A highlight of the day was a meaningful land acknowledgment ceremony led by Indigenous performers through drumming and storytelling, setting a tone of respect and connection.

This event was especially important to us, not just because it celebrated PRIDE, but because it represented inclusion, belonging, and community: values we hold deeply.
As a neurodiverse team, it meant a great deal to be given the opportunity and trust to lead such an important community event. We are sincerely grateful to Kitsilano Neighbourhood House for believing in our abilities and creating space for diverse voices to be seen and celebrated.

We wrapped up, feeling proud, energized, and inspired. Our team moved smoothly between roles, supporting each other with flexibility and enthusiasm, and demonstrating what true team-work looks like.

We’re excited to share more photos and behind-the-scenes highlights below! Enjoy!

Tanya helped hang a giant garland, and the team decorated the staircase with colorful fring

The Dream Team!
